Location
Říčany
An ideal place to live and work, just a short distance from the capital. According to the quality of life index, Říčany has consistently ranked among the top places. The city offers more and more shops, services, cultural and sports facilities, cycling paths, and the number of new jobs is also growing. By car, it takes only 20 minutes to Prague, and by train, less than half an hour.
Říčany is located just 20 km southeast of the center of Prague, ensuring easy access to the capital by both car and train. Its strategic location near the D1 highway and excellent public transport connections make Říčany an attractive place for business and daily commuting. The city is surrounded by beautiful nature, including forests and ponds. Říčany offers everything you need — schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, shops, and a variety of sports complexes. Additionally, you can find modern shopping centers as well as traditional markets here.
According to studies, Říčany has consistently been one of the cities with the highest quality of life in the Czech Republic, thanks to its combination of a pleasant environment, safety, and access to services. With its location and developed infrastructure, Říčany is considered an attractive location for businesses. Revitalization of the Brownfield
CITYSITE is being developed on a long-declining industrial site, which we are bringing back to life. Brownfield revitalization is part of our DNA. We focus on areas that others overlook. We transform these locations to meet ecological standards with an emphasis on sustainable development. Because only in this way can we preserve places for life for future generations.
History of
the Site
After nationalization, the site became state-owned and was integrated into the national enterprise Interiér Říčany, which specialized in furniture production.
The site expanded and modernized to meet the growing demands for furniture production in socialist Czechoslovakia.
Production reached its peak, with the Interiér Říčany enterprise becoming one of the major suppliers of furniture for both domestic and foreign markets.
Gradual stagnation occurred due to outdated technologies and efficiency issues. The site began to decline, which was reflected in its technical condition.
After the fall of communism and regime change, the site was privatized, leading to further deterioration, until it was purchased by CONTERA, which gave it a new life.
In 2010, CONTERA acquired the declining site and began a comprehensive revitalization.
During these years, CONTERA revitalized buildings A, B, and C. A large portion of the demolished structures was recycled and reused in the subsequent construction process.
Between 2014 and 2015, CONTERA revitalized the Atrium building and building Q. The Atrium building serves as commercial space, while the revitalized building Q is surrounded by lush greenery. CONTERA pays special attention to the surrounding environment.
In this year, CONTERA revitalized building D in the Říčany park.
In 2021, CONTERA revitalized the TERRA building, a modern business center, as well as building S.
