Liberec, the capital of Northern Bohemia, is a unique city where urban life blends with nature, tradition meets contemporary architecture, and local potential is aligned with international ambition.
Nestled at the foot of the Jizera Mountains, Liberec boasts excellent accessibility from Prague, Central Bohemia, as well as neighboring Poland and Germany. Its strategic location near the border and established infrastructure make it an ideal hub for business, education, and innovation.
Liberec is well known for its academic tradition, technical expertise, and vibrant cultural and sports scene. The city is experiencing a wave of new developments that bring modern solutions and enhance its appeal for both businesses and residents.
CITYSITE Liberec is part of this forward-looking trend. It offers a sophisticated multifunctional concept that integrates office space, showrooms, services, and entertainment into one compact and flexible environment.
Revitalization of the Brownfield
CITYSITE is being developed on a long-declining site, which we are bringing back to life. Brownfield revitalization is part of our DNA. We focus on areas that others overlook. We transform these locations to meet ecological standards with an emphasis on sustainable development. Because only in this way can we preserve places for life for future generations.
History of
the Site

Vratislavice saw the rise of significant industrial enterprises in the second half of the 19th century. The most renowned was the carpet factory of Ignaz Ginzkey, which in 1924 delivered the world’s largest carpet to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.
The area was also known for porcelain production and the Peukert company, which specialized in butcher’s machinery.
The automotive industry played a key role in the region, particularly through the Reichenberger Automobil Fabrik (RAF), based in Liberec but with operations extending into the surrounding area. Before merging with Laurin & Klement in 1913, RAF was one of the largest car manufacturers in the Czech lands.
Vratislavice is also the birthplace of the renowned engineer Ferdinand Porsche, whose family home now serves as a museum and the headquarters of the Porsche Classic Club.
Following 1989, some traditional companies struggled to adapt to the market economy, leaving many industrial sites abandoned or underused.
On one such long-neglected brownfield, CONTERA is now developing a large-scale residential project, which will also include flexible CITYSITE units.
By doing so, CONTERA is bringing new life into an overlooked area - revitalizing it with sensitivity to the local environment and community. The aim is to enhance the space to benefit both its users and the wider neighborhood.
